Joanne is a senior team member who specialises in end-to-end payroll. Most of Joanne’s portfolio being franchises, although she has experience working with outsourced payrolls for high profile companies. Joanne oversees the BACS payment process for clients across the payroll department. Joannes assists franchisees with setting up their first payroll then continues to support and advise them to ensure they remain fully compliant with payroll and auto enrolment processes
Background
In a previous job, I noticed HR and payroll issues affecting my colleagues, and while they often came to me for help, I could not assist in my role.
After being made redundant, I found payroll during my job hunt, and with my attention to detail, I saw it as the perfect way to help others avoid the struggles of pay issues.
What I Love About the Job
There is always a new challenge – when you think you have seen it all something new pops up!
Also, the team I work with are brilliant. We all get on well, support each other and they make each day fun. I laugh every single day, even during the challenging ones!
How Colleagues Describe Me
Apparently, I am a colourful, knowledgeable stress head!
I hope they see me as helpful and kind but, I will admit, I can get stressed a fair bit!
How Clients Describe Me
I aim to be helpful and responsive, so hopefully they would say something along those lines.
Outside the Office
I love spending time with my family and friends. We try to make the most of it by doing fun activities like concerts, social darts, bowling, or escape rooms.
I relax by reading, watching films or going for walks when the weathers nice, and I am currently trying not to build a Lego hoard, though the designs are very tempting!
